Energetic Support for Grief

As someone who works with energy and communicates with those who have passed, the recent loss of my grandfather hit me harder than I would have expected. I have realized several things over the past few weeks.

  1. While grief is considered an emotion, it is also an energetic vibration. The process of a family member crossing over impacts every member of the family. Energy reorganizes as cords or entanglements are released. The soul of the dying collects all of the parts of itself from family members in their process of soul retrieval to cross over. This energetic component of grieving can strike as weakness, fatigue and exhaustion and can leave us feeling like we are fundamentally changed due to the loss of a loved one.

  2. Grief is weird. Everyone grieves differently. People do strange things when they are grieving. It comes in waves and strikes when least expected. Grief can overwhelm mid-sentence. It can surge with a hint of a memory, a scent or a song. I became aware of the importance of doing what feels good and right while grieving and taking the space to fully feel and move through emotions.

  3. There are vibrational remedies that can support us energetically and ease us through the process of grieving. I am always looking for ways to move through difficult experiences as consciously as possible. When we let the light in through our broken hearts we can expand our consciousness and raise our vibration.

Here are a few of the tools I have used to help me through the loss of my loved one:

  • Ignacia Amara Homeopathy - Homeopathy addresses our physical, emotional, mental/psychological and spiritual aspects. Through the guidance of my own homeopathic consultant, I have been taking Ignacia daily to help me move through the emotion of grief so that it doesn’t become stagnant in my field. This remedy has been hugely helpful when emotion or fatigue feel overwhelming.

  • Rescue Remedy Flower Essence - A combination of Back Flower Essences, which are known to provide gentle emotional and psycho-spiritual support. Different preparations are available and drops of tinctured essence can be added to a water bottle for subtle support throughout the day.

  • EFT Tapping Technique - This technique, which involves tapping on the acupuncture meridians, has greatly reduced my emotional reaction. At the end of each tapping session, which lasts 5 minutes, I feel like my brain has been rewired into a more peaceful thought pattern.

  • Reiki - Every night as I fall asleep I reiki myself. If you do not have your Reiki I certification I highly recommend taking the 6 hours and investing in this skill. You will have a way to support yourself energetically for the rest of your life after a Reiki I attunement.

  • Signs: The Secret Language of the Universe the newly released book by Psychic Medium Laura Lynne Jackson, has helped remind me of my own skill set for communicating with those who have passed over. This book helped to pull me out of my grief and into a new way of being and communicating with my grandfather.

I always like to get creative with the many different ways we have to support ourselves nowadays. Grief is an unavoidable part of being human. I hope this post helps bring relief to others who are transitioning through the grieving process.
